1st hugs

Tonight, as we were doing our bedtime routine a wonderful thing happened. Clare hugged me back! I put her "jam jams" on her and as I pulled her up to zip them she flung forward and wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me! This went on for quite some time as she would periodically stop , look at me, and then hug some more. What a wonderful moment for me! Feeling those tiny arms around my neck was the happiest I think I've ever been. I've been hugging her for 19 months and tonight she finally hugged me back. I can't even put the feeling into words. How wonderful life is!
