Scuba diving expedition

Daniel is a scuba diver. He recently went diving in Tillamook bay. He's been diving here a lot, so he knows the territory down there pretty good. The kids and I just played on the rocks by the watter while he went down.

The pier is beautiful. It's a very popular place to go crabbing,but there is never any crabs because of this!

The kids were intrigued by this water outlet. I was to for that matter, it's very mysterious looking. Just the type of thing that should make a child's imagination go wild!

They are climbers. There is nothing they won't scale. 

This little dirty bum makes me smile. Dirt = FUN!

Here is Daniel surfacing. 1 air tank down, 1 to go. He brought up 3 old crab traps that were down there, and sold them to some guy for 10 bucks! That paid for the air!

I took this from out on the pier. There were a TON of people crabbing and NOBODY was getting any. Daniel surfaced and told people that there were no crabs down there. Then, feeling bad for all these people, he offered to throw some LARGE clams into their traps! So, down he went filling people's crab traps with clams, so they wouldn't go home empty handed. People were very intrigued with him, and when we went to leave everybody wanted to talk to him like he was a celebrity! It was funny. Some people didn't know how to cook the clams, and asked Daniel how to do it. We are BIG seafood people.

So this is kind of long, but I like hearing what the kids say to their Daddy. I am also not sure why I felt the kids needed to stay out of the water, but talk about a fruitless effort. It's waaay more fun in the water
