Monsters
Curious monsters are lurking
Searching for fun in all places
Keep your valuables out of reach
Get out the windex to clean up their traces
The tables are turned upside down
They're much better this way for leaping
Folded laundry pulled out to the floor
It's much softer this way for landing
Fingerprints on the the dishwasher
Color crayon in the toilet
These monsters can be merciless
Just who's gonna reach in and get it???
(Oh yeah, me...)
Pea's in a pod
Partners in crime
Mommy's so tired
But now it's nap time
Ahhhh...
Don't you dare budge
Don't make a sound
If you wake them up
My sanity may never be found!
But when it's over...
Keep them busy
That's the plan
Get out the books and bubbles
Find the play-doh and crayons
Color ON THE PAPER
What does the duck say?
Draw me a circle and a triangle
Dump out the blocks, lets build and play
And so you see...
Monsters are curious
They must explore, it's true
But they're also quite cute
Watch out when they bat their baby blues
There's hugs all day long
They snuggle and kiss
most times,
Nothing compares to this
Seeing them learn
Watching them grow
Video taping
Their first play in the snow
Watching them wonder
How everything works
Being their mommy
Really has it's perks
Little monsters are busy
But a good monster mommy knows
Keeping up with them
Is just how it goes
Never slow down
Or you'll lose all the races
It's worth it in the end
To see the smiles on their faces
And if you look really close
I bet you'd see
There's no monsters after all
Just angel's entrusted to me.

Love it!
That is awesome! I wish I could write something like that!
Now that's poetry! I hope some more poetry comes flowing out.
You capture feelings for many a mommy--and you bring it back for me. I loved it.
