I may have over loaded on the pictures for this, but it was a good day. One of my favorite things to do is get in the car and go for a drive. One of my favorite destinations is the gorge, famous for multnomah falls. We had the opportunity to go there as a family this weekend. It was so much fun, not to mention absolutely beautiful!!! I love taking my own family in these adventures! I can;t believe how lucky I am. I get to make wonderful memories and give my kids a happy and fun life. This is what being a parent is all about!!!
This is a funky face in the vista house, which is a chateau at the top of a small mountain with breathtaking views of the gorge and the river.
This is the historic highway that you take to the vista house.
The Columbia river as seen from the vista house looking left.
Looking right.
Daniel saw a hay baler at work so he pulled over to show Clare. I laughed when he said to her.."Look Clare, it scoops up the hay and poops out a hay bale!" She did seem to be pretty impressed with it.
Daniel turns into goo when the kids rest their heads on his chest. He loves it! I just happened to snap a picture right when it happened and I love this picture!
There is a neat place to play in the water right by the falls. it is very shallow and perfect for toddlers! It's kind of cold but on a hot day, it's great! It was so cute. I think I took a hundred pictures just of us playing in the water!
Clare really had fun. She threw a tantrum when we made her get out.
It took a while for Max to like the water, but he did eventually. It was so cold it took his breath away. It was actually really cute to see him react.
Clare liked picking up the rocks and watching them splash when she threw them. She also liked how they felt slimy.
One happy girl!
Feet!
This is at the falls. We only hiked up to the small bridge. It was very crowded and pushing a double stroller up the hill was kind of difficult, but worth it. Going to the top of the falls was out of the question. Not with those switch backs! Maybe if we had a jogging stroller and on a less crowded day.

Daniel and I being goofballs before we left!
