This is our story thus far in our life. I wanted a short version of our journey together as husband and wife. I love my husband and children more than words can say, but I tried my best and hopefully these words say alot. Its funny, my poems never end up the way I plan them before they are written. They start in my head as an idea, and then as I write they evolve into something else completely. The pictures I chose are ones that my sister Cilla took and then edited for me. They look great! I had her tell me how to do it so I am looking forward to experimenting with editing my photos. Max's eyes really are that blue. She did not enhance them at all.
Us,
I met you on a hot July night
Sparks flew and we knew it was right
From that moment on we were one
Attached at the hip and having fun!
You tried to kiss me out on the pier
I shot you down, I was full of fear
On my front porch, not long later
I gave you that kiss, nothing was sweeter
Then came September and when you were sure
You asked my father and claimed your love was pure
You took me to my favorite place
Got down on one knee and then we embraced
We grew so weary of goodbyes every night
We couldn't wait for our journey to take flight
Then November finally came
We each said yes, surely love was to blame
Our hearts were full
Our hopes so high
Our dreams so big
Our love still shy
We thought we'd love no one more
Then she came and opened the door
Wow! a love so vast, we never knew
We need one more! and then there were two
We feel so content, so complete
Our family of four, our life is sweet
And then to think...
It all began on a Saturday night
A blind date in July with a story to write.
