I decided to head off to the in-laws for the long weekend. If i don't
have to open my office, I am NOT staying home. So, off we went to have a good time.
We had a lazy
Sunday morning. Here is Max just hanging out, probably eating whatever he finds off of the floor.
We had quite a day on
Monday. I Spent the day with both of my mothers. Me and my Mom went window shopping for an hour or so, and then we went and spent the rest of the day canning. We did tomatoes, apple pie filling and applesauce. Clare had a really good time playing in this pan of water. My mother in law was about to use it, but Clare got to it before she did. She was having a really bad hair day.
This is Clarendon with grandpa Clarendon. She is named after Daniel's grandfather who's middle name is Clarendon. I love this picture!! I hope that Clare will treasure it when she is older.
Both of my mom's hard at work. We formed an assembly line. My mom peeled the apples, Chris cleaned then up( because the peeler didn't work very well) and I cored them. Then, we stuffed the cans and
Chris did the hot water baths to "seal" the deal.

Sunday. Clare's cousins were there for Sunday. After church we all went outside and picked berries for a bit. jasper, slate and Clare.

They spontaneously went and sat on the little bench at grandma and grandpas. This is a funny little playgroup. They had a good time playing with
each other. Clare loves having friends to play with, it is a good change from our boring little life.
