Together Forever

Today is my family's 20th anniversary!! We were sealed in the Seattle temple this day in 1989! I am so grateful for the temple and the blessings it brings. I feel overwhelming joy when I think about my eternal family. I love my parents and siblings so much and cannot imagine an eternity without them.
All I remember about this day is that the temple worker in the nursery made me take off my finger nail polish, which I was very upset about, and looking at my family around the altar, wondering why everyone was crying. I can still see the look on my Dad's face when I peeked up at him. He cheeks were streaked with tears. I didn't understand what was going on, but I knew it was important. I also remember that the altar was green.
I am so glad for the example that was set for me by my Mom and Dad and sister's. Because of this day, and all of my big sister's marrying in the temple, I knew just how important the covenants made in this sacred place are.
